Angel Tattoos
Angel tattoos have really been gaining in popularity. It seems that everywhere you look, someone has a new angel tattoo on their back. And they do it in a variety of ways too. Sometimes you’ll see a representation of a Christian angel tattoo and other times you will see an angel tattoo that is base upon the old Nordic female warriors, complete with full armor, shield and sword. And then there are those people who just get angel wings inked on them, usually as a memorial to a deceased relative. But, this angel tattoo is a little bit different. I knew it from the first minute I saw it. Actually, to tell you the truth, I thought that it was a fairy tattoo at first. And I think that is what makes this design so impressive. Instead of doing what everybody else has done, the artist has mixed two entirely different genres of tattoos. You can think of it as either a hybrid between the two genres or maybe even a reinterpretation of the angel genre. That’s what this tattoo is, a reinvention of the genre. And what makes this tattoo so cool is that thematically this design is very dark. The angel seems to have a wickedness to it that I have never seen in any other design.
Angel Tattoos
There are many versions of angel tattoos out there and this one is that of a warrior angel who is in the act of casting one of the bad angels out of Heaven. Perhaps it is the ill-fated angel Lucifer himself being exiled to Hades. According to the Good Book, the angel wars were waged for a very, very long time and some believe the battle between them continues throughout eternity.
