Now here’s a pretty serious back tattoo. This one is appears to be one of an ancient warrior who is either in the midst of facing off with the dragon in the tattoo or the dragon is going into battle with him as one of his weapons. Either way, it’s kind of cool to mix the Samurai sword fighter with a wild looking dragon. It makes for a good body tattoo.

This picture shows just how popular back tattoos have become over the past few years, especially among women. Only a few years ago you would be hard pressed to find a women with a big back tattoo like this one on a women. My, how things have changed in just a short time. Now, the percentage of women with back tattoos are almost as high as the percentage of men. And big elaborate pieces like this one are really becoming the rage. I don’t know why this women chose to get this particular back tattoo but it is quite a nice design. At first glance it appears to be just your run of the mill angel design but it is far from average. For one thing the stance of this angel is really odd. Usually when you see an angel, it’s in a standing or flying pose with it’s head held high. But, this beautiful angel is in a subservient kneeling position with her face in a downcast position. It’s almost as if the angel is showing reverence to some King or Queen. Another thing that takes this tattoo from the average to the extraordinary is the fact that it’s done in black and white. It’s a risky design choice but one that worked out really well for this back tattoo. Don’t you think?
