bird tattoo
Bird tattoos are all around us nowadays. You can see them on peoples shoulders, backs and even hands like the person in the picture. These birds are evidently either sparrows or swallows, bird tattoos which used to be sported only by those in nautical professions such as sea merchants or sailors. Another nautical bird tattoo is the bluebird. These three bird tattoos were used for good luck. The sparrows when placed on the hands, however speak of swiftness and is usually worn by UK street fighters. Other common bird tattoos are doves, which symbolize peace and ravens which symbolize death. I think that this particular tattoo would have been even more stunning with a dove underneath ‘Love’ and a raven underneath ‘death’. But, that would have been my personal choice. That’s the beauty of getting a beautiful bird tattoo. The designs can be used in any combination and the symbolism can vary from person to person. But, as far as beauty and character go there are few tattoos can beat a good bird design. And since the bird is a universal symbol all over the world, you can be sure that everyone will appreciate a well done one.

bird tattoo
This bird tattoo has a bit of fantasy in it. It seems to have the tail feathers of something like a peacock but the rest of the bird seems to be a bird of prey. Some sort of hawk I would say. One that is always ready to swoop down and snatch up whatever it wants to eat at any given moment. Birds of prey are well known for their hunting prowess.
