Celebrity tattoos have arguably been the driving force of the recent popularity among mainstream culture. Only a few decades ago, tattoos were relegated to the realms of counter culture society, being the main stable of outcast, rogues and the unscrupulous. But today, thanks in part to the focus on celebrity tattoos it has indeed become a part of mainstream society. The amount of tattoos sported by various celebrities differ from person to person. Nicole Ritchie, for instance sports several designs which include a rosary on her ankle, her last name on the nape of her neck and "virgin" tattooed on her wrist. Other celebrities have much more work done. Johhny Depp has celebrity tattoos which include "Lily-Rose" over his heart, his mother’s name "Betty Sue", and a sparrow flying over water with the his son’s name "Jack" below it. He also has a ribbon tattoo reading "Wino Forever" which originally read "Winona Forever", but Depp had the "na" in the tattoo removed after his breakup with Winona Ryder. In fact, Johnny Depp now has over fourteen tattoos over various parts of his body. So, as you can see celebrity tattoos has not only become Hollywood’s latest fashion but has also been great advertisement for the tattoo industry.
Celebrity tattoos are like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re going to get. Here we see what appears to be characters of some type of alphabet, but it’s anyone’s guess what language it might be. I am sure it has some meaning to this young lady, but who knows. Maybe it doesn’t. Maybe she just wanted a tattoo and thought this looked cool. That’s good enough most times.
