Flame tattoos mean a lot of different things to a lot of fans of the inked arts. Flame tattoos often symbolize the destructive forces of nature. This often speaks of a persons passion in his love of God. Or, the same design could be used to describe the passion one has for a loved one or lover. But, that’s not the only meanings of the flame tattoo. For decades, car enthusiast have put flames on the sides of their vehicles. Why, you ask? Because it shows everybody that their car is special or ‘hot’. And the flame tattoo can be a exclamation of the bearer that they are something special. They are saying, "Look at me, I’m hot!" This flame tattoo design in the picture is a cross between the typical fire design and a tribal design. I think that it would make an excellent design for your forearm or even as a back piece. And this design could be further modified. Instead of the tribal dragons, one could use serpents or even wolves.

This flame tattoo is built around some sort of initial logo. Perhaps one of a union or a fire company troop or even a military unit. Either way it’s the kind of tattoo that person gets because they are proud of an organization they belong to. It’s too bad that the flames are not done better than they are. They look very amateurish and really don’t look like fire at all. But who knows, maybe that was done on purpose.
