I have always found moon tattoos to be interesting. People around the world, and throughout the ages have put so many different meanings onto the moon, that there is almost no way to hammer it down to any one or two that most people would believe in. So all we can really explore is what the moon may mean to you. To some people it means heaven, to many in our culture the moon always has something to do with romance. Some people thinks it represents the inner child within us but I say horse hocky to that. That’s just a bunch of nothing that someone who calls themselves a writer came up with.

This is important because the size of the moon in our sky definitely effects all animal behavior on our planet. Man had hunted, fished and planted his crops by the moon for thousands of years. There are all sorts of moon tattoos but this one has a butterfly flying past the moon. And it is obviously a very small tattoo because in the photo we can see this persons skin pores and that means they had to be very close up to take this picture. There’s no telling what the story is behind the butterfly and the moon but I would be interested in hearing it.
