As one might imagine peace sign tattoos where much more popular some years ago but you might be surprised to know that they have been making a bit of a come back lately. No matter what you think of the hippy movement of the sixties and seventies, it happened just the same and it changed our culture forever. I can just barely remember some of the crazy sayings we had for everything, like groovy, I’m hip, peace, love, I dig it man and many, many others. And I’m not even going to bring up the bell bottom blue jeans. Wow, these peace sign tattoos really bring the memories back.
Now this peace sign tattoo seems to be a bit of a horse of a different color than most of them I see. I say that because it would seem that this one seems to pertain to a particular place at the ‘waters edge.’ No doubt a place where this person spent some very memorable time and wanted to dedicate their tattoo to that time as a result. Or maybe they just love the look of the ocean and that brings peace to them. Who knows. But peace sign tattoos can’t stand for a great many things and they can’t be too hard to nail down.

I would have thought peace sign tattoos were outdated but I guess not. This one seems to be only partially done at the moment and it also looks to have a roman numeral in the center that says 420. It doesn’t take much to figure out what this person is into. All I can say is smoke another and get your tattoo finished.
