This wings tattoo is a very unique design. It is smaller in comparison to other tattoo’s of the same design, and is placed in the center of the back, instead of the common position of the shoulders. This wings tattoo also has a feminine look to it, being smaller and more subtle, and also having lighter colors like pink and white. The design itself is also unique in how the artist incorporated the shadow of the wings, and in how the artist blended the pink and white to give it a two tone look. This wings tattoo design also has a rounder look then most tattoos of the same type. The wings are also in a closer proximity to each other than most wings tattoos, having the tips of the feathers almost touching at the top. The design is also intricate in how the outside bone structure of the wings is more pronounced then most wings tattoo designs. There are also subtle differences in each wing, such as a difference in feather size or shape, and also in shading of the feathers. This tattoo is a perfect example of the more feminine side of wings tattoos.

Obviously wings tattoos can be of many different kinds of wings. These, I would think, would have to be some sort of dragon wings. Other than the rather dull blue color I would have to say they are very well drawn in and painted. They have good detail and give a feeling of texture. I especially like the detail of putting the claws at the tips of the wings. That’s cool.
